The OHL has named the players who made the first and second All-Rookie teams for the 2019-20 season. Barrie Colts rookie Brandt Clarke was announced as making the first team. Last season, Colts goalie Jet Greaves was named to the first all-rookie team.

You won't find anyone who is surprised by this announcement. Clarke had an incredible rookie season with the Colts posting six goals and 32 assists through 57 games. His 32 assists were the most in the league among rookies. Impressive numbers from a rookie blueliner and you have to imagine that those numbers would have been better had he played more on the top power-play unit regularly.
Clark is joined by some former Don Mills Flyers teammates with rookie points leader Shane Wright (Kingston Frontenacs) and Brennan Othmann (Flint Firebirds) making the team.

There is no doubt that Clarke impressed many as a rookie and you can expect him to continue to develop while climbing the Barrie Colts rankings of points by a defenceman. Congratulations to Brandt and all the other players named to both all-rookie teams.
