On May 14th, 2000 the Barrie Colts hosted the Plymouth Whalers in game 6 of the OHL Finals. Barrie was down 3-2 in the series but would tie the series in front of an electric crowd at BMC. Barrie would head to Plymouth to win game 7 to earn their only OHL Championship in team history.
