Owen Sound are coming off a 5-1 loss against the Kitchener Rangers Thursday night on home ice. The loss was the teams 4th consecutive. Markus Phillips scored the Attacks lone goal. The Barrie Colts gallop into Owen Sound riding a 4 game win streak. Their last win came against the Sudbury Wolves this past Thursday Night at Barrie Molson Centre in a 4-2 win. Barrie had a 2-0 lead most of the game following goals by Luke Bignell (7th of the year) and Lucas Chiodo (13th of the year). Sudbury would tie the game, before Ben Hawerchuck scored his 7th of the year with 2:01 left in regulation. Christopher Cameron would add an insurance goal into an open net. His 1st of the season. Barrie got 39 shots on goal; 20 of which came from defencemen. Leo Lazarev got the start and made 34 saves on 36 shots faced.
Barrie is 10-5-2-0 on the road while, Owen Sound is 8-6-0-4 at home.
Both teams will be without top players tonight, with Andrei Svechnikov of the Colts playing on Team Russia, while Jonah Gadjovick of the Attack is playing for Team Canada.
