Fundraiser for former Barrie Colt John Chartrand. #OHL

There is a fundraiser going around on gofund me for former Barrie Colts goalie Johnny Chartrand. Chartrand tragically lost his life over a week ago in an accident on Highway 401 in the GTA.

The fund was set up to help to help the family raise a school fund for Chartrands 10 month old son. Here is the write up from the page.

Hi everyone,
On July 7th 2017 John Chartand suddenly passed away in a tragic accident. He will be deeply missed by his entire family and friends.
I have had the pleasure of knowing him and his amazing family for several years. I'm hoping everyone who was impacted by Johnny will donate.
The money will be going to his family and to start a college/university savings for Johnny's 10 month old son Chace
Every little bit helps, especially at this difficult time.

So far, two of his former teams in Barrie and Niagara have put together some money and donated to the cause, as well as Barrie Colt Aidan Brown. They have raised just over half of the $5,000 they looked to raise for his son.
