2017 OHL U-18 Priority Selection: Barrie Colts.

Last night the Ontario Hockey League held its first Under 18 Priority Selection Draft. The draft was 4 rounds with each team selecting one player each round. Teams who selected a goalie in one of those rounds was extended the opportunity to select another skater in a 5th round if they wanted. Barrie had the 1^st overall pick, as well as the 1^st pick in the following rounds. Barrie picked a goaltender in the 2^nd round, allowing them to select a player in the 5^th round. Here is a look at the Colts selections.

1st Round: (1^st overall) Victor Hadfield.

Note: Victor is the grandson of Vic Hadfield, who played in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers. His career lasted from 1959-77.

3rd Round: (41^st overall) Josiah Degazon.

Team: Mississauga Rebels Major Midget AAA

4th Round: (61^st overall) Massimo Petricca.

Team: Mississauga Rebels Major Midget AAA

Position: Centre

5th Round: (81^st overall) Jacob Breckles.
