First Period: Evenly matched period for the most part. Couple poor penalties on both sides and each team directed 11 shots on goal.
Colts got a late 5 on 3 power play chance but were unable to score. 40 seconds of 5 on 3 power play carried over into the 2nd period.
Blackwood mad a lot of huge saves for the team. Eventually we will stop mentioning it because that is all he seems to do..
Second Period: The Colts would strike early with the remaining power play time and take a 1-0 lead. Cordell James would score the goal which would be his first goal of the season. Andrew Mangiapane and Mike Webster both earned assists on the goal.
The Colts took a few penalties in the period but were able to keep the 67's off the score sheet.
17:40 in the period Kevin Labanc would his first goal of the season to give the Colts a 2-0 lead. Kaura and James both got assists.
67's out shot the Colts 16-12. Roy Radke was very solid on the penalty kill. Was able to kill time off the clock in the offensive zone as well as generate some chances.
Blackwood was INCR.... you know what we are going to say..
Third Period: 67's took an early penalty and the Colts would make them pay. Andrew Mangiapane would get an unassisted goal.
Both penalties would take a couple more penalties but neither were able to take advantage.
Late in the period Ottawa pulled their goalie and Andre Mangiapane would score an empty net goal to increase the Colts lead to 4-0.
