Game Preview: The @OHLRangers host the @OHLBarrieColts. #OHL

Tonight Joseph Blandisi and the Barrie Colts head to Kitchener to face the Rangers 3-3-0-1.

The Rangers currently sit in 4th place in the MidWest Division. They are coming off of a big win however over the OHL Champion, Guelph Storm who they beat on home ice last week, 6-5. Nick Magyar lead the way posting 2 goals, one of which would be the game winner and Adam  Mascherin helped with a 3 assist night. Coming off of a big win like this can only mean this team should have momentum when the Colts come to town.

The Colts however are coming off an emotional loss in North Bay this past Thanksgiving Monday. One would say that the "Scarrie Colts" is more than just a cute Halloween themed name after that showing. The Colts had little to be thankful for on the ice that afternoon would be a massive understand. The top line waled out of the game all with a -3 rating, leading scorer Joseph Blandisi and Brendan Lemieux were kept quiet on the score sheet and the team was unable to get a power play goal on 6 chances. On top of that, the team was out shot (why don't you look surprised?) 36 to 21. If the Colts hope to stand a chance tonight they will need to put forward a much stronger effort.

Keys to successDiscipline.. Though North Bay received more minors, the Colts still looked to allow their emotions to get the best of them. A lot of the time, the team just looked lifeless. The Coach is not giving Blackwood a break so the team can at least attempt to help him out. Being outshot 36-21 will not help you win games in any Hockey League. Just ask the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Players to Watch: After being kept off of the score sheet you gotta think that both Blandisi and Lemieux will want to get back to their scoring ways. Labanc also had moments in the last game where he thought he was going to help keep the Colts stay in the game and Justin Scott has been playing a solid game lately.

Puck drop is set for 7:30!
