On Thursday the Barrie Colts head to Windsor to face the Windsor Spitfires.
The Spitfires haven't started this season as they'd hoped for. First they dropped their home opener to the Erie Otters 5-2 and then were defeated by the Guelph Storm two nights later.
They are hoping that the third time is a charm. The Colts head to Windsor coming off a win in their last game in North Bay where they left with a 5-4 win in overtime.
Keys to success: The Colts are going to want to watch their discipline this game. 3 of the 4 goals they let in against North Bay were short handed. They took 8 penalties. Windsor has only managed to score 3 goals in their two losses and would no doubt love to be given that many chances on the Power Play.
Players to watch: Joseph Blandisi scored a hat trick in his last game and got an assist on the game winning goal in overtime. He currently leads the Colts with 5 points in the first two games of the season and will no doubt be hungry to add on to that.
Kevin Labanc had a 3 point game against North Bay and also scored the game winner. He currently sits in second on the team with point this season with 4. CJ Garcia also continues to look strong. His position play continues to improve and he is playing aggressive in front of his goal. If the Colts want to continue to have success him and Jonny Laser will have to stay on top of their game.
The game is on Thursday, October 2nd and puck drop is set for 7:05 pm.
